Charles Williams:
Charles was born in Swansea and started his working life at sea finishing as a Chief Officer on oil rig tug supply boats in the 40's oil field in Scotland and then around the world, moving to Newport in 1983 to launch Gwent Broadcasting (GB Radio) the local independent radio station.
Charles' father was one of the first employment judges in Britain having previously practiced as a solicitor but Charles did not follow in his legal footsteps until he was 40 which often leads him to say that at least he has also had proper jobs!
Charles is now a qualified solicitor and is the Managing Partner of Fwdlaw Solicitors as well as being one of the founders of Forward Employ. A member of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA). Charles has delivered outstanding service to his employment clients over the past 15 years.
As a former president of the Chamber of Trade in Newport and with a business career of around 30 years, Charles has an in-depth knowledge of employment law and extensive practical life experience which is often commented on by his clients who find him easier to relate to than most solicitors. It also allows real life experience of employment situations.
Charles Williams says..
"With the ever increasing trend of employees suing their employers it makes perfect sense to provide this service. We have found the correct price positioning for the product and our growing customer base is diverse from the license trade, manufacturing, dentistry and medical practises to car and commercial dealerships. The private sector has become increasingly aware that protecting themselves from employment legislation is paramount to their survival. Our clients like the personal facility that we offer. Every client meets the team of lawyers that will become an important extention to their management team".
